MaryBeth Garrigan

MaryBeth Garrigan creates art in St Paul located in the old Bottling Department at Schmidt Artist Loft. She is evolving from a two-dimensional painter to an emerging assemblage installation artist by embedding 3-D and technology into her work. You will often see hidden within her landscapes, deconstructed pieces of family furniture as a catalyst to describe concepts of potential energy and entropy.  You will often find in her work, perspectives from the point of view of her red-tailed hawk i.e. from the top of a tree or 5,000 feet above. Also her imagery is often influenced by her experiences as a special education teacher at the St Paul American Indian Magnet School.  In the past, Garrigan was the executive director of the National Eagle Center in Wabasha MN, which drives her environmental awareness and impacts her creative content.
